Implementing highly automated graphic event management workflows for the new permanent solution at beIN Sports headquarters in Qatar
While setting up the new studio environment in Qatar, beIN Sports was looking for a way to manage the graphics events across all 32 individual channels. We provided them with a new development around our graphics control and playout solution M2Control, that offers a flexible solution for graphics event management both during and after the live production. This product is called Chili Box and was developed by HotHatMedia, a joint development project of Molden Media and Big Chili.
The Chili Box makes it possible for beIN Sports to record all graphics metadata including timecode separate from the live camera feed. If beIN chooses to repurpose a specific broadcast, an operator can go into the recorded graphics, correct mistakes that might have occurred in the haste of a live show, move individual objects on the timeline, rebrand the graphics to match a different channel or localize all text elements. Then both the clean camera feed and the adjusted graphic metadata are played out frame accurately on the same timeline.
